As you may recall back in February, we produced a series of horror-inspired pinup and boudoir sessions. Our friend and model that embraced the role of Mistress Freddy Krueger shoot, submitted our shot to Venus Cult Magazine (a sister publication of Retro Lovely) earlier this month and we received an EIGHT-page spread! Our FIRST publication ever and we got EIGHT pages!

I was beyond myself. I couldn’t believe it. WE’VE BEEN PUBLISHED. As I anxiously paced back and forth in our kitchen trying to contain my excitement while my husband slept, I posted to our social media pages, sent messages to family and friends, then all the emotions hit me like a car in a crash test. I sat down on the step leading into our living room, took a couple of minutes to myself to take it all in, and just cried tears of joy. Eleven (give or take - it’s hard to keep track) years of taking pictures, six years of educating myself and improving my craft, two years of self-discovery, experimenting, and building my business toward what it is today brought me to this very moment and milestone. It was fucking worth it.
